Function [CC]:
Supports cell migration. May be involved in urothelial cell-matrix interactions. May be involved in tumor progression. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:11179665, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11245483, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12592373, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15012588}.

Site:

Tissue Specificity:
Expressed in placenta, skin and urothelium. Found in suprabasal keratinocytes of chronic wounds. Weak expression is found in esophagus and peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Found in the majority of primary and metastatic transitional cell carcinomas (TCCs) and as well in breast cancer tissues, but not in adjacent normal tissues. High expression is found in the tumor component of some noninvasive superficial lesions and in invasive and metastatic urothelial cancers. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:11179665, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12592373, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15012588}.

Stability:
This bioreagent is stable at 4°C (short-term) and -70°C(long-term). After reconstitution, sample may be stored at 4°C for 2-7 days and below -18°C for future use.
Preparation:
Reconstitute in sterile distilled H2O to no less than 100ug/ml; dilute reconstituted stock further in other aqueous solutions if needed. Please review COA for lot-specific instructions. Final measurements should be determined by the end-user for optimal performance.
